2. Website hosting

This website is hosted by Uberspace. When you visit this website, your browser communicates with the hosting infrastructure to retrieve the requested pages and files. Technical data, including IP addresses and connection information, may be processed to deliver and secure the service. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a secure, functional website).

According to Uberspace's public documentation, web server access logs are disabled by default. If explicitly enabled, IP addresses are truncated in the log files and those files are deleted after seven days.

3. Domain registration and email

The domain leanderopitz.com and the associated email service are provided through Namecheap. Namecheap processes information required to provide domain registration and email services. Ordinary page requests are served by Uberspace, not by Namecheap as a website host.

If you send an email to hello@leanderopitz.com, the information you provide (such as your email address, message and relevant technical metadata) is processed for the purpose of responding to your request. Depending on the nature of the request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Messages are deleted when no longer necessary, unless retention obligations apply.

4. Film posters and external links

Film posters are downloaded in advance from The Movie Database (TMDB) and served as local files from this website. Loading these images does not itself connect your browser to TMDB.

This website links to external services, including Letterboxd and TMDB. Those services may process your personal data when you choose to follow an external link. Their respective privacy policies apply. The Legal Notice additionally displays logos loaded directly from TMDB and Letterboxd servers. When you visit that page, your browser may send technical data, including your IP address, to those providers to retrieve the logos.

5. Cookies, tracking and third-party resources

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, tracking scripts, or external fonts. The two third-party logos on the Legal Notice are externally loaded images as described above.

6. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
